''My work here seeks to explore the ccommonplace. Familier everyday things that are often overlooked or taken for granted, yet at the same time are seemingly indispensable and necessary to the way we interact and engage with the world''.

In particular Andy is interested in the meaning of these objects and is seeking to investigate the histories and associations that lie beyond their original design, function and utility. Using a range of strategies that include editing, manipulation, corruption and archiving; selected objects are distorted, combined, deconstructed and re-invented to reveal new insights and a fresh perspective. From this new position, the context is changed and the work becomes open to broader interpretation. Additional implications are considered and the objects are at once transformed into something inimitable, dysfunctional, amusing or hazardous.
